Established in May 2023, Kenilworth Park Neighbourhood Watch (KPNW) emerged from the collective aspirations of our community to foster a safer, more vigilant neighbourhood. Motivated by a shared sense of responsibility and the need for proactive safety measures, we have grown into a robust, community-led initiative.
Fully accredited
KPNW has been officially accredited and registered with the Western Cape Department of Community Safety since October 2023. Accreditation number: DCS 15/18/1009.
Our Vision
We believe in creating a vigilant and informed community where every resident feels safe and valued. Our aim is not just to deter criminal activities, but to cultivate a culture of mutual support and awareness, making Kenilworth Park a model for neighbourhood watches everywhere.
The Team
KPNW has a dedicated executive team, led by our Founder Chairperson, Suzanne Japhta. Suzanne’s visionary leadership, along with the strategic direction of Vice-chairperson, Bryon Nicholas and Operations Manager, Carl Visagie, forms the backbone of our watch. They are complemented by the organizational skills of Secretary Rose van Coppenhagen and the financial stewardship of Treasurer Barbara Smith. Together, these individuals embody the spirit of community service and commitment.
Our Members
Our strength lies in our members and patrollers – a diverse group of 21 active volunteers who selflessly dedicate their time to patrol our streets. Each member brings unique skills and perspectives, united by a common goal of ensuring the safety and well-being of our neighbourhood.
Join Us
We welcome all residents of Kenilworth Park to join us. Whether it’s through patrolling, event organization, or community engagement, your contribution can make a significant difference in our collective safety and harmony.
